A lot of people in these comments don’t understand what life was like for most of history. People with 401ks and shuffle papers for a job don’t understand that in the middle of nowhere 100+ years ago, you would be fucked if you did not work constantly.
We constantly work because we are all competing for better jobs (whether you think so or not). People used to work because they would die from starvation otherwise. Why do you think he’s a farmer?
